Vision Statment

For this weeks blog we had to create as vision statment. A vision statement is pretty much a formal pitch as to what your game is about. You would usually present this type of documentation to the company you work for and then they'll pretty much give you the go ahead or tell you to bin the idea. A Vision statement is also off value to the designers. It eliminates uncertintay and should provide them with the answers to any questions they may have.

Vision Statement:

Title: Down Hill skate – Down Hill adreanline Rushing skateboard simulation- for iphone andriod/ miningame.

Description:

The game is simple you are a skateboard rider from the San franciisco bay area who speeds down hills at death defying speeds in your spare time for the fun of it.

The player has to navigate his way down hill swerving in and put of cars and avoiding obstacles such as grains and cones. The objective of the game is to collect as many coins/ tokens as possible without getting hit. The Game becomes more intense the longer it goes on getting faster and faster meaning the reactions of you the player need to become quicker as the game goes on. There is no completion of this game. The game is more designed as a competitive game against friends and against yourself. In later online versions of the game I would like for there to be leaderboards locally amongst friends and globally where the best players battle to hold the top score.

Key Features

·      Skateboard

·      Reaction speed

·      Adrenaline

·      Suburban.

Genre: Adventure, Action,  Skate simulation.

Platforms: The game will be suitable for mini web game websites such as Mini clip and mobile devices.

Market Analysis: Down Hill Skate will cater to the constantly growing market of mobile mini games. Ever since mini games have been released on mobile devices there has always been a huge market. In the beginning the barrier to entry was small with only mini games like Snake and suduko dominating the market but with the release of smart phones the industry quickly skyrocketed and beccame saturated but still there is a low barrier to entry if you have the tools anyone can join the market. You will just need something to set yourself apart from other competitors in order to run a successful mini game.

I just read your game vision statement I and I really like your game idea about a skateboard rider that goes down the hill in San Francisco I think its a great idea to experiment with and create something that you will enjoy to play.I like the way you everything broken into the paragraphs which makes it very clear and easy to understand.I also think that it will be great if you added skins or level I think that will make your game a lot more enjoyable for people.Overall great game and I am looking forward to see your game in action. And best of luck in creating your game and college!!!
